MTTEEF 2022 will be held on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University Saturday, January 29, 2022 starting at 8:30AM (Central)
Hosted by Dr. Chris Combest and Dr. David Loucky, the Middle Tennessee Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble Festival (MTTEEF) honors many of the top high school tuba and euphonium players in Tennessee and Surrounding states. This event will feature rehearsals as a mass tuba-euphonium ensemble, masterclasses with Dr. Combest & Dr. Loucky, and performances by the MTSU faculty, students, and the Festival Ensemble. 8:30AM Registration/Check-in Opens – Wright Music Hall Lobby (1439 Faulkinberry Dr., Murfreesboro, TN 37130)
9:00-9:30 Welcome Concert – Combest/Loucky performances (Hinton)
9:30-11:00 Ensemble Rehearsals (Hinton/IRH)
11:00-11:10 Morning Break (bring snacks and a water bottle of your own)
11:15-12:15 Ensemble Rehearsals (Swap locations – Hinton/IRH)
12:30-1:30 LUNCH at McCallie Dining (on campus)
1:30-2:00 Afternoon Break/Social Time in WMB 173 (IRH)
2:00-2:15 Hinton Setup (flexible)
2:15-2:45 Sound check in Hinton and MTTEEF Group photo!
3:00PM Finale Concert – Hinton Hall – Free and open to the public!

Welcome! We are glad that you will be joining us for MTTEEF. I hope that this will answer any questions that you may have regarding this event.
DIRECTIONS TO MTSU:

The School of Music is located in the Wright Music Building, which is at 1439 Faulkinberry Dr., Murfreesboro, TN 37132.
PARKING:
Parking on the weekends is free. You can park as close to the Wright Music Building or Saunders Fine Arts as you can find a spot! There are spots on the street as well as in the lot by the baseball stadium.
You will want to enter at the main entrance to Wright Music Building (Red Brick Building on Faulkinberry Dr). The Registration/Check in table will be located in the lobby of Wright Music, look for the giant MTTEEF banner!
Please be advised that there may be other events happening on campus, but if you find Wright Music Building you'll be in good shape.
WHAT TO BRING:
You will be playing a lot, so be sure to bring your instrument, valve oil, etc. You will not need any music: this will be provided. We will eat lunch on campus, so you will need about $10 to eat on campus or you may bring your own. Feel free to also bring any light snacks and your own water bottle if possible, there will be breaks for you throughout the day.
WHAT TO WEAR:
This will be a casual event, so dress comfortably!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
You will spend the morning with Dr. Combest and Dr. Loucky. You will be preparing several pieces of music to perform on the afternoon concert. In the afternoon, members of the MTSU Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble will be joining you in rehearsals as you prepare more music to perform along with them.
The afternoon concert is open to the public, so please invite your friends and family. It will feature performances by you as a member of the Festival Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble and the MTSU Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble.
